What calibre is better? .177 or .22

There is no best calibre, each has its own unique characteristics. 

A .177 pellet is smaller and has a flatter trajectory, which makes it ideal for competitive target shooting and plinking. 

A .22 pellet is larger and has greater stopping power, which makes it ideal for pest control.
