What live quarry can I shoot with my air rifle?

You can shoot mammal pests such as rats, rabbits and grey squirrels. For Pest birds, certain criteria must be met: 

• To prevent serious damage (e.g. to crops and livestock) or to prevent disease.
• To protect and conserve flora and fauna.
• To preserve public health or safety.

 This can include magpies and crows, but it is best to consult your local legislation before attempting any pest control. It is also important to remember you must have the land owners permission and use suitable air rifles and calibre for your quarry.
